The Capital Regional District’s (CRD) Wastewater Treatment Project will provide tertiary treatment for wastewater from the core area municipalities of Victoria, Esquimalt, Saanich, Oak Bay, View Royal, Langford and Colwood, and the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations. It is being built to meet federal and provincial regulations for treatment by December 31, 2020.
Construction began in 2017 and is currently underway on six parts of the Project: the McLoughlin Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, the Residuals Treatment Facility, the Clover Point Pump Station, the Macaulay Point Pump Station, the Clover Forcemain and the Residual Solids Conveyance Line. A milestone was reached with the completion of the cross-harbour undersea tunnel from Ogden Point to McLoughlin Point.
Join us for a dinner meeting and presentation on the CRD’s Wastewater Treatment Project. The presentation will highlight the Project Management, Engineering and Geosciences, opportunities and technical challenges of this $765M project.
