Project Management Volunteers (PMV) is an organization that supports non-profit organizations within the community, by connecting them with project managers who are looking to give back. Project Management Volunteers, Vancouver Island (PMV VI) is the newly established branch of PMV.
In partnership with the Project Management Institute (pmi.org) Vancouver Island chapter, PMVVI supports Vancouver Island nonprofit organizations by connecting them with experienced project managers, and helping them to successfully perform their projects on time, within scope and within budget - all pro bono. In addition project management workshops tailored to the needs of nonprofit organizations are regularly offered for a modest fee throughout the year.
As a project manager, volunteering to share your professional skills and knowledge will broaden your experience and create meaningful engagement in the community. Earn Professional Development Units (PDUs) while expanding your professional network and career opportunities.
For non-profit organisations, hiring a volunteer project manager will provide critical professional support for your projects.
